Ministerial Alliance (Formerly St. Vincent de Paul)

“Hermann Area Ministerial Alliance

Ministers representing various Christian traditions and creeds have formed a spiritual alliance in the Hermann area for various purposes. Firstly, to be a source of fraternal support to the ministers themselves, helping them in their personal vocation and their pastoral service. Prayer and Holy Scripture is shared among the members.

Secondly, to be a place for free-flowing ideas and a source of spiritual and pastoral ideas for ministry.

Thirdly, to be an organization that looks after the spiritual and some physical needs of the children of God and the sheep of Christ’s flock in the area….whether it be so one individual or family, or to the larger community of Hermann.

Fourthly, to provide ecumenical prayer services throughout the year during which the larger Christian community can gather for prayer and worship.

Fifthly, to raise monies in support of the Good Samaritan Outreach agency of the Ministerial Alliance. Donations are accepted at any time at any of the local member churches. The Alliance also sponsors collections at community prayer services; ringing of bells during Christmas time; fifth Sunday collections.
